Our Christmas Letter

Our dearest family and friends,

Allow us to share some of the many reasons we have to joyfully celebrate Christmas.

  • As you may already know, we have a new addition to the family – our daughter Ayana! I’ve had an easier and healthier pregnancy, labor and delivery with her. She is by far, the easier baby to take care of as well; very calm and undemanding baby. It may be because Clint and I are more experienced and better parents now than we were back in Jaden’s time. Oh and by the way, Ayana just cut her first set of teeth before turning 5 months old.

  • Jaden, healthier than ever – Jaden didn’t cope well during his short-lived daycare days earlier this year as he was constantly sick but since we pulled him out of there in May, 2006, he has never been sick again. Go figure!

  • Car Payoff – last September, we paid off our Dodge minivan, yippee! What a thing to thank for, no kidding. Gone are the days of making car payments. I wish I can say the same thing with our house ha ha.

  • My application for U.S. citizenship is in the process of getting approved. My interview appointment on January 10, 2007 is the last step before oath taking. We're all so excited of when my oath taking comes.

  • Growing family in the Philippines – not only I now have a sister-in-law, Rubie and a brother-in-law, Erick but I also now have the cutest nephews—3-yr old EJ and 1-yr old Dee2x.

  • God’s faithfulness through His daily provisions – we are grateful for our health that allow us to work; our jobs that allow us to buy the things we need and want, and for every thing that He faithfully blesses us each day that makes us live and enjoy life individually and as a family.

  • And I am especially thankful for my family-in-law here in Salt Lake City that I have come to love as my own, through everything that has happened to me since I got here in the US—from transitioning to living and working here in Utah to being a wife and a mom of two kids, which all happened in the mere 5 years that I’ve been here.

It is our prayer that you will have reasons to joyfully celebrate Christmas. If nothing else, may we all remember that God's gift to us in Jesus is the reason of the season.

With God's love and ours,

The Lack Family
